Press Release

Collinsville, Illinois - Congressman John Shimkus (R, Illinois-19) is kicking off his “Valentines for Heroes” program, which has become a popular tradition for his constituents.  The Congressman’s district offices will collect valentines for distribution to veterans and those currently serving in the military.

“Thousands of valentines come into my offices every year since we began Valentines for Heroes,” he noted.  “The people of central and southern Illinois are overwhelmingly generous and supportive of our military men and women, past and present.”
