Ramsey Receives $25,000 Federal Grant
WASHINGTON – Congressman John Shimkus (R, Illinois-15) announced today that the City of Ramsey was awarded a USDA Rural Development grant of $25,000.
The funds will be used toward the purchase of a backup generator for the village's existing storm siren, as well as for new ADA-compliant door closures and security cameras on the village hall and buildings.
“I congratulate Ramsey on their successful grant application,” Shimkus said. “Grants from the USDA make necessary development and public safety projects possible for rural communities. My office can assist with Rural Development grants as well as any other federal grant program application.”
